Located on the island of Lilla Essingen, about 20 minutes from the city centre, this Michelin star restaurant is a real treat. The old Electrolux canteen has been transformed into a charming, beautifully designed restaurant by the water.
The creative menu at Lux, invented by multiple award winning chef Henrik Norström is made only from the freshest local ingredients. The contemporary Scandinavian cuisine is based around the four seasons and four flavours: salty, sweet, smoked and spicy. The dishes are well presented and inventive and as well as the a la carte, there is also a tasting menu.
Lux has a relaxed romantic atmosphere with magnificent views across the water. As you’d expect from a Michelin star restaurant in a great location, it isn’t too cheap for dinner but the lunch here is extremely good value.
Lux is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Lux is also closed during the period of 12th of July until 11th of August. It is essential to book before coming.
