Close to Karlbergsparken Park, and just moments from the Kalberg Metro, Capri Due offers an authentic taste of Italy in the centre of the city. One of the most popular Italian restaurants in Stockholm, with its charming feel and look – all checked tablecloths, candles and wall-mounted plates - the interior of Capri Due is cosy, rustic, and deliberately old-world. You really get the sense that every effort has been made to recreate the particular atmosphere of an old fashioned Italian eatery.
That authentic Italian feeling extends well beyond the decor though, as Head Chef Giovanni Cassano was born and trained in Southern Italy and brings a host of delicious dishes to the extensive, and continually developing Capri Due menu.
Fresh pasta is made daily in the kitchen, using the freshest and highest quality ingredients, and this then forms the basis for a number of the house specials including
Riocotta stuffed ravioli with scampi, served with a lobster sauce and asparagus. Meat specialties include fried calf liver, prepared with onion, peppers, bay leaf and white wine coupled with the Capri Due reduced calf stock, whilst the popular seafood casserole includes halibut, scampi, squid, fresh clams, mussels, garlic, shallot, pepper and a pinch of saffron and is served with garlic bread.
Capri Due also offers a select collection of wines, the majority of which are imported directly from the Bördiga Vineyard in southern Italy, and staff is only too pleased to recommend a suitable wine to partner your food. After the main meal is finished you can also choose from Stockholm’s most extensive selection of grappas.
The Capri Due staff are well known for being warm and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed and family friendly.
Capri Due is often busy and reservations are strongly advisable.
