Like the many of the Nordic countries and their capitals, Stockholm´s climate is moderated by the Gulf Stream. Summers are warm with an average daytime high temperature of 20°C (68°F).
The high of winter might be considered very cold for some visitor with average low of -2°C but is in fact fairly moderate for this geographical location.
Like many northerly destinations Stockholm sees daylight vary widely between high summer and high winter. During high summer the city sees as much as 18 hours of daylight but as few as 4 hours during high winter (December/January).
